A Bathroom for everyone, a Bathroom able to provide

A Bathroom for everyone, a Bathroom able to provide

JIKA bathroom designers thought of the needs of the handicapped. This resulted in an unprecedented proposal summarizing comfortable hygiene, harmonic ceramics, furniture and accessories.

Starting with their very first sketch, it was clear that a cosy environment, evoked by perfect harmony of ceramics, bathroom furniture, and other accessories was both feasible and desirable. These unique bathroom sets are successfully used in hospitals, various residences, as well as in homes. The main challenges faced by the designers were brought about by santary ware and ceramics, and Mio series sourced incredible inspiration. Therefore, JIKA designers created a rare medical washbasin (64 x 55 cm) featuring special-shaped front edge facilitating access of the wheelchair-bound users, combined toilet raised to 50 cm, also tilting mirrors, and sturdy grab handles offered in various lengths suitable for any type of product. Besides the physically disabled people, Mio bathroom set caters comfortably to the visually impaired, too. Raised and extended toilet makes its use easier for the elderly, or taller persons (height increased by 8 cm compared to standard toilet is a significant change). The toilet is offered with a WC-seat and anti-bacterial surface-finish Mio cover made of durable plastic, and slowdown SlowClose mechanism.

Further possibilities show up considering a combined Deep by JIKA toilet with an increased height and horizontal/vertical outlet, and wall-hung Deep by JIKA WC with its length extended to 70 cm, guaranteeing maximum load of 400 kg.
