As a long-standing brand, JIKA has offered many pioneering water-saving measures for toilets, bathrooms and households, as well as organizations in general. It is not just a question of lower costs, but namely it fulfills our commitment to a friendly approach to the environment. Freshwater flows out from faucets placed not only on washbasins, but on all kinds of assortment: bathtubs, shower enclosures and even bidets. Water consumption in this category specially depends on the type of faucet mixing valve being used: the mixing valves fitted to JIKA faucets are furnished with flow limiters with Optim Eco system (except Cubito series faucets). In daily life it means that users can define the optimum flow rate and water consumption. Usage is very simple: control water temperature by turning a faucet mixing valve ring; by turning out a restrictor screw at mixing valve shaft the flow of water may be regulated. Special EcoDisk mixing valves installed in Lyra plus faucets can cut water consumption by as much as one half!
Water savings can also be reached by means of aerators that are used to mix water flow with air, reducing the flow rate, although this may not be quite evident to the user; on the contrary, water streams seem luxuriously rich. A similar concept can be applied to JIKA shower heads with special nozzles that can save up to one third of the normal water flow.
