More Than CZK 1 Million For Ill Children

Laufen CZ and the “Kapka naděje” (Drop of Hope) foundation fund helped to renovate bathrooms in children’s wards at ten hospitals across the Czech Republic, thus contributing the total of CZK 1,045,296. Vendula Svobodová, the president of “Kapka naděje” foundation fund, and Ladislav Dvořák, the CEO of Laufen CZ, were delighted to declare that the volume of aid increased nearly CZK 200 thousand compared to the original agreement. And they have agreed to continue with this successful cooperation in the years to come.

Prague, 22 January 2013: Laufen CZ, representing Laufen, Roca and Jika brands on the Czech market, helped to renovate bathrooms and lavatories at various hospitals all over the Czech Republic, selected on the recommendation of the Drop of Hope Foundation; these activities took part within the framework of a charity project running from 28 April 2008 till 31 December 2012. Total value of this project reached CZK 1,045,296. A symbolic cheque was handed over to Vendula Svobodová, a president of the Foundation, by Laufen CZ CEO Ladislav Dvořák, in the Laufen Bathroom Gallery in Prague. In return, Vendula Svobodová together with Elen Švarcová, a director of the Foundation, presented Ladislav Dvořák and Laufen CZ marketing and communications manager Ingrid Hejkalová a certificate of thanks issued by the Drop of Hope Foundation for very valuable cooperation.

The Foundation was addressed by 10 hospitals with their requirements: Olomouc Teaching Hospital, Brno Teaching Hospital, Masaryk hospital in Ústí nad Labem, Jablonec nad Nisou hospital, Nursing and Children’s Centre in Valašské Meziříčí, Ostrava Teaching Hospital, Žatec hospital, Kyjov hospital, General Teaching Hospital Praha and Municipal Hospital in Litoměřice. Hospital representatives highly appreciate namely the comprehensive offer of ceramics sanitary ware and complete bathroom equipment (including technical assistance) by Laufen CZ, which is a part of Roca, world’s number one in this market segment. Special products offered by Laufen CZ also played an important role in this project – this includes complete bathrooms for the handicapped, utilising special-purpose sanitary ware modified for the wheelchair bound or other physically impaired users, besides various hand-rails, tilting mirrors, or shower enclosure stools. Of course, the main focus concentrated on children’s WCs, washbasins, shower enclosures, ceramic sinks, etc.

“In the past years we were happy to see specific results, step-by-step renovations of hospital bathrooms in children’s wards at various hospitals across the Czech Republic. We were pleased to see the interest in our products and satisfaction of users with this practical form of help. And I am very happy that we have agreed on this upon closing this project with Vendula Svobodová, the president of “Kapka naděje” foundation fund. In the near future we are going to discuss a new project that once again will be designed to improve conditions for curing the smallest patients,” said Ladislav Dvořák.
